An independent green coffee differential benchmark
Green coffee prices are hard to compare. So let's compare them properly.
The C market moves daily, currencies drift, and every coffee differs by origin, quality, process, volume and purchasing terms. This survey collects anonymous transaction data so participating roasters can see what they paid against a broader market — normalised, for the first time, to a single figure: US dollars per pound.
3–5 minutes per coffee. No supplier or company name required. Free for our first 100 contributors.
The problem
Everyone quotes a price. Nobody can compare it.
“$4.10 FOB”, “C+85”, “£3.60/kg delivered”, “12,400 COP/lb”: each is true locally and useless globally. Differing units, currencies, incoterms and market levels make it impossible to answer the roaster's real question — is the price in front of me fair?
What we do
One benchmark, one unit, one truth.
You report what you paid — in your currency, in the unit you were quoted, with the terms attached. We record the exchange rate and the implied C-market differential as of the purchase date, normalise everything to USD per pound, and publish the aggregates back to contributors, always above a confidentiality threshold.
How it works
3–5 minutes per coffee
Tell us about your roastery — once
Where you roast, your local currency, your annual volume and how you buy. Answered once, then reused for every coffee you submit.
Report the coffee and the deal
Origin, quality, process, then the purchase: how it was priced, whether against the C market, the price, the currency, the unit, and what the price includes.
Add another, or see the benchmark
Each additional coffee skips Section 1 and starts at Section 2. When you're done, you reach the benchmark — free for a year if you're among the first 100 contributors.
