Contributing is free. The benchmark is the subscription.
Anyone can submit a transaction at no cost. Reading the full, detailed benchmark — every origin, process, quality band and purchasing basis — is what the paid plans unlock. The first 100 contributors get a year of Contributor Access free.

What the full report looks like
Groups are published only once at least 100 comparable transactions exist, so no single contributor can be identified. The figures below are an illustrative sample of what a subscriber sees once that threshold is met — medians and ranges by origin, processing and coffee type, refreshed as contributions grow.

Every group is shown at the same confidentiality threshold the live benchmark uses: a group appears only once it holds at least 100 comparable transactions, and the report is refreshed as contributions grow.
What counts as a "contributor"?
Anyone who submits at least one complete, verified transaction. The free founding year is applied automatically at the moment you submit — you don't need to claim it separately, and no card is involved.
How is the benchmark built?
Every response records the coffee, the currency and the unit, then converts the price to US dollars per pound using the exchange rate and the implied C-market differential as of the recorded purchase date — not the date it was entered. Aggregates are published by origin, process, coffee type and pricing basis — but only for groups large enough to protect any single contributor.
Can I cancel?
Yes — Contributor Access is billed monthly and you can cancel any time. Access continues to the end of the period you've paid for, and your contributed data stays in the benchmark.
What about my data?
Individual submissions are never published with your identity. Only aggregates are shown, and your business details are stored solely to operate your account. See the privacy notice.
