Green coffee price survey

What do you actually pay for green coffee?

An independent benchmark for what roasters pay. Roughly 3–5 minutes per coffee. Your supplier and company name are not required, and individual transactions are never published.

Section 1 of 6 — About your roastery

Section 1 — About your roastery

Asked once. Every additional coffee reuses these answers.

Not required, and never published alongside your transactions.

Section 2 — The coffee

The benchmark covers a fixed set of named coffees so that prices stay comparable. Choosing one sets its origin and grade automatically.

Section 3 — The purchase

Use the date the price was agreed or contracted — not the date the coffee arrived at the roastery. The USD exchange rate and the implied C-market differential are calculated as of this date. If the price was fixed over several transactions, use the date the applicable price was established.

Section 4 — Pricing basis

To compare prices at all, they must be quoted on the same basis. The benchmark records exactly one.

Enter the price ex-seller's-warehouse (origin) — the point from which you arrange, and pay for, shipping to your roastery. Do not fold in ocean freight, import duty or tariffs, warehousing, or inland transport: those vary by route, forwarder and time, and would muddy the price until it stopped being comparable.

Section 5 — Purchase quantity

Section 6 — Optional commercial information (these deepen the benchmarks)

Section 7 — Review and submit

Reviewing coffee 1. Your roastery answers from Section 1 are kept for any further coffees.
